The sophisticated looking LAMY AL-Star fountain pen has a body made from black anodized aluminium applied via a electrolytic process with a matte finish and the LAMY brand name adorned on it for subtle branding purposes. The AL-Star has a matching cylindrical cap and a transparent plastic grip with a dark tint, skilfully shaped to provide a more comfortable writing experience. The black AL-Star fountain pens cap has a metal clip in matching black colouration designed to secure safely onto a shirt pocket or in a pen case. The nib of the pen is polished black steel with LAMY branding and there is a twist mechanism at the bottom of the cone and grip where the user can change the refill. The AL-Star black fountain pen is under a two year warranty and comes presented in a small LAMY pop up pen gift box.

There is a small selection of fonts which will contain different character designs, and you may not like or approve of some of them. For example, in one of the fonts 'Victoria', the letter 'V' looks similar to a letter 'D' because of the italic serif design. Once an item has been engraved we cannot refund or exchange it, because we will not be able to resell an engraved item.
